Multi-Day Backpacking
Isle Royale National Park
I camp on a hard to reach island in the middle of Lake Superior.
Havasu Falls
I backpack into a popular hiking destination within the Grand Canyon in the off-season to find a beautiful, enchanting waters.
Presidential Traverse
I attempt the Presidential Traverse, a peak-bagging challenge in the White Mountains. Unfortunately, due to bad planning I hike to the point of exhaustion and only summit 4 of the 7 peaks.
Day Hikes
Linville Gorge
A hot, sweltering summer hike to the amazing vistas of Hawksbill Mountain and then to the bottom of the gorge at Linville River
Roan Highlands
A there and back hike along 9 miles of grassy balds and flower fields along the AT traversing the Tennessee / North Carolina border
Longs Peak (Colorado)
My brother and I set off at 4 am attempting to summit Longs Peak. We get below the summit but are stopped by ice before turning around.
Dolly Sods Wilderness
I take on what I thought would be a simple hike into a new region without knowing that this place was a difficult and frustrating swamp.
Franconia Ridge
I fight through scores of amateur hikers in what is easiest the most crowded hike I've ever done.
Mount Marcy
I climb the highest peak in the Adirondack High Peaks. At 5,344 ft high, it was leisurely and beautiful.
Grayson Highlands
I visit the Grayson Highlands in southwestern Virginia. A spooky place, but with awesome scenery and wildlife.
Mt Ida
A beautiful and quick hike up to the beautiful ridgeline and 12,874 ft summit of Mt Ida within Rocky Mountain National Park.

Colorado Tour
I take a tour of Colorado, climb its highest peak Mt Elbert, and visit Rocky Mountain National Park for more fun above 10,000ft
Southwestern US Loop
I take an epic 6 day trip through the southwestern US, where I visit Havasu Falls and enjoy experiencing a new environment.
American West Tour
My brother and I go on an epic road trip - a 4000 mile route from the Rocky Mountains to the California Coast, north to Portland and then back east. Along the way, we hit lots of famous and scenic locations.
California Tour
I visit an old college friend in San Francisco for a couple days before setting off on an epic journey down the Pacific Coast Highway to Los Angeles. After visiting family there and going to the beach, I head back north through farmlands to Yosemite National Park.
Leisure Trips
Great Sand Dunes National Park
My brother and I visit the Great Sand Dunes and explore the nearby Mosca Pass. Our nighttime hike was awesome though the harsh wind blew lots of sand in our faces.
El Salvador
I travel to my SO's home country to find a world completely different from what I'm used to. Tropical, humid, and with nice places heavily fortified against a lurking, unseen threat
Zion & Bryce Canyon National Parks
During an epic road trip, by brother and I stop by Bryce Canyon National Park before spending the rest of the day at Zion to hike the famous Angel Landing
Yosemite National Park
I spend a day at Yosemite during an epic tour of California. This is home to huge redwoods, amazing geographic features and a beautiful valley
Mesa Verde National Park
My brother and I visit the remains of a pre-Columbian cave-dwelling civilization.
