Music

Before I started my career as a software developer, I spent a few years after college playing guitar and singing in an indie-rock band I started.  There’s something about the whine of an electric guitar that goes straight to my soul and I was willing to risk a lot of make a career out of playing it.  I lived in Chicago at the time and was able to play many venues, see many musical acts and attend multiple music festivals every summer.  I released a solo album in 2007; however, nothing really panned out and the lure of having steady employment pulled me away.

I still play guitar obsessively and love learning and writing songs.  I also still occasionally get asked to play weddings and other events and have a lot of fun doing so.  I no longer pursue doing it as my only profession, though.  This section of the site hosts the album I released, some of my other recordings and old nostalgia pics.  I include recordings of my acoustic sets in case you’re looking for me to play an event.  I also honor some of my favorite musicians and give a run-down of my rig.
